Ferdinand Boberg

Biography
Ferdinand Boberg mainly worked as an architect and is counted among Sweden’s best. He was responsible for buildings such as Prins Eugens Waldemarsudde, Rosenbad, Thielska Gallery and the LO building. He was also responsible for buildings at the World’s Fairs in Stockholm in 1897, Paris in 1900 and St. Louis in 1904; as well as for the industrial arts and crafts exhibition in Stockholm in 1909 and, finally, the Baltic Exhibition in Malmö in 1914. Ferdinand Boberg was, along with his wife, Anna Boberg, also deeply involved in the design of arts and crafts, including glass, ceramics, silver and textiles, but also furniture. In 1897 and 1909 he was commissioned by Rörstrand porcelain factory to draw new décor for tiled stoves, as well as ornaments and dinner services.
