Estrid Ericson

Estrid Ericson (1894–1981) founded the company Svenskt Tenn in Stockholm in 1924, and alongside architects like Uno Åhrén and Josef Frank she developed it into one of Sweden’s leading home furnishing companies. Guided by her personal and sometimes eccentric taste, Estrid Ericson shaped a distinctive home furnishing ideal that both affirmed and opposed the dominant ideas of Modernism.
