Description
In 2003, Konstfack student Björn Kjelltoft (born 1974) produced a widely-publicised degree project in which he painted Ulrica Hydman-Vallien’s characteristic décor on a number of PET bottles that were later exhibited at Liljevalchs art venue, Stockholm Art Fair and Galleri Konstfack.
As a response to Kjelltoft’s bottles, Hydman-Vallien made her own version of the PET bottle in glass for Kosta Boda in 2004. She called the series “Tack Björn” (Thank You Björn) and her bottles were a very popular complement to her Open Mind series.
