Description
The Electrolux Trilobite robot vacuum cleaner is the world's first self-propelled vacuum cleaner, introduced as a commercial product in 2001. Using ultrasonic sensors, the vacuum cleaner can map rooms and avoid obstacles. It charges itself at a recharge base, which it automatically returns to once it has completed its cleaning task or when it runs out of power. The Trilobite will also indicate when the rubbish bin needs emptying. It takes its name from the extinct arthropod trilobite, which scoured the ocean floor during the .
