Description
In the early 1950’s, Nils Landberg created his acclaimed Tulip series for Orrefors. The elongated forms, characteristic for the series, are further amplified by a layering of clear and colored glass, a technique known as underlay glass. Landberg exhibited his tulip glasses at the Milan Triennale of 1957 where they were awarded a gold medal.
