Description
In 1969 Verner Panton designed the VP-Globe lamp which was manufactured from 1970 by Louis Paulsen & Co. The lamp consists of an outer transparent acrylic globe, with five inner aluminium reflectors hanging from three steel chains. Panton's lamp can be considered a continuation of Paul Henningsen's PH-lamps. The light from the VP-Globe spreads mainly sideways into the room, the light bouncing between the differently coloured reflectors, resulting in a refined and poetic play of light.
