Description
The suit comes from the trapeze collection, Yves Saint Laurent's first own collection for the fashion house of Dior. The dress has a straight skirt in wool and a V-neck sleeveless bodice in black rayon/silk. The bodice, that is not meant to be seen under the suit jacket, has thin shoulder straps and a straight neckline in the back. The bodice have two incisions at the waist front and rear and the front piece has three incisions over the bust. There is also two small push buttons to fasten the jacket. The skirt is doubled with black rayon/silk. The skirt is made of three panels with a seam at the center back. The skirt has five incisions at the waist in front and two at the back. The dress closes with a long zipper at the back. Height: 105 cm, length skirt: 65.5 cm. Jacket in black wool with boat neck and ¾ sleeves. The back piece is sewn in four sections with a middle seam and two side seams. Each of the two front pieces are sewn two lengths and with a long incision over the bust. On each side there is a sewn-in pocket. The jacket closes with three round plastic buttons below the bust and two small push buttons. The neckline, which should be open, have two additional plastic buttons with imitation buttonholes. The jacket is attached to the dress with two push buttons and decorated at the front with a black bow. Height: 55cm, sleeve length: 38.5 cm.
