Description
Dress of Irish tweed plaid in subtle green and brown tones with effect points in turquoise, rust red, ocher and more. The dress is cut on the diagonal and has a bell-shaped skirt. Fully buttoned center front with ten gray buttons. The dress consists of two front panels, a back panel, shoulder yoke and long sleeves ending with a waistband and a button. The lining is of brown rayon. The dress, worn by Tony Lewenhaupt, is an early example of broad shoulders. In the early 1970s Katja Geiger started using woven fabrics purchased from countries such as Germany and the Netherlands. Before she had almost exclusively worked with jersey from MMF (Malmo Mechanical Tricot Factory) or other factories in Skåne. The fabric used for this dress was specially made for Geiger.
