Alf Wallander
1862 - 1914
Biography
Alf Wallander was greatly inspired by a type of underglaze painting found at the Royal Copenhagen factory in Denmark. He drew a couple of different services for Rörstrand, including Trollslända (1908), Iris (also called Lilja, 1897–1910) and Tulpan (1897–1910) which were designed for the 1897 Stockholm Exhibition. All three were very expensive to produce so quickly went out of production.
