On the second floor, the museum presents three permanent exhibitions of European applied arts, spanning the period from the 13th century to the early 19th century. The floor also regularly hosts temporary exhibitions addressing contemporary issues in design, crafts, and fashion. The Torsten and Wanja Söderberg Reading Room is also located on this floor — a quiet place where visitors can sit down to read, study, or spend time in deeper reflection.
