Inspiration East Asia room 1

The first room in the exhibition presents the oldest objects in the collection, dating from around 2500 BCE to the beginning of the Common Era. Earthenware, bronzes, and sculptures form the core of the permanent collection. Highlights include objects from major dynasties such as Tang (618–907) and Song (960–1279), whose exquisite craftsmanship has influenced Western art history. The pieces captivate with their forms, colors, and decorative details.
